We Are So Happy You Are Here!

January 2, 2024 marks our 24th year of bringing in the Best in Traditional Italian Cuisine to Playa Del Rey and a life-long dream fulfilled. I am so proud to be able to preserve the traditions of my family and I am so pleased to share them with you!

From Our Family to Yours!

One of my favorite childhood memories was helping my grandmother make handmade ravioli. I would stand on a small stool in her kitchen closing each on with a fork. The sauce would cook on the stove for hours filling our house with the most amazing aroma. My grandfather had a beautiful garden abundant with vegetables, herbs, fruit trees and his own little grape vine...

Our family comes from Abruzzi, Italy — Grandpa, Giovanni DiGregorio, was born in Pescara in 1895 and was one of 18 children. Grandma, Anna Cantalini, was born in Navelli in 1901 and had a brother, Lorenzo “Uncle Larry” and a sister, Elizabeth “Aunt Sabet”. They all came to America through Ellis Island and settled in Newton Center, Massachusetts where my grandparents married and had two daughters, my mom Val and my Aunt Norma.

My family eventually moved to California. In time, I arrived to spend many days watching my grandmother in the kitchen and many nights listenting to my grandfather play the accordion or the mandolin; he could play any instrument by ear. He was truly a wonderful man with a big laugh and a twinkle in his eye.

Our home was full of the warmth and comfort that comes with good food, made with love.

Made with Love

Our food is inspired by my grandmother, especially our signature ravioli and gnocchi, made fresh everyday.

Moved by Music

Our live music Sundays are a tribute to my Grandfather, whose accordion is on display near the front of the restaurant.
